Build is the most critical stage of a network roll out, where meeting project milestones on time and to budget are the most visible. e2E supported our customers from a complete build service down to the provision of expert advice on key roll out activities. No task is too large or too small. We provide support on small bespoke networks through to the largest operator networks and work at all levels of our customers’ business. e2E offer experience across all the various network infrastructures, terrestrial, mobile, radio and satellite.

e2E has been contracted by Thales to support all aspects of the building of their Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) POP including selection of the hosting organization, installation and configuration of the routers, switches, firewalls, operating systems, RADIUS and DNS services, backup systems and network management systems.

Project:
e2E has been contracted by Inmarsat to support the selection, procurement, delivery management and eventual use of the In-Orbit Test equipment used to test the new Inmarsat-4 satellites. e2E was responsible for the generation of the associated test plans and for running the subsequent campaigns.

The implementation of a complex network involves many key activities, including the implementation of the network service management layer and its associated processes and procedures. e2E have implemented many network service management layers on customer networks and offered independent and pragmatic advice and support in this area.

e2E supported TTI Telecom in the successful delivery of an end to end Service Management System to 3 (Hutchison 3G) to meet their challenging service launch schedule. e2E were specifically responsible for management, execution and acceptance of a range of Service Management components including Trouble Ticketing, Asset Management, Fault Management and Performance Management as well as integration of the Service Management System with 3's Server and Application Network Elements.
 

 

 

Network Management Implementation

The implementation of a complex network involves many key activities, including the implementation of the network management layer and its associated processes and procedures. e2E have been responsible for the delivery of network management systems into many network operator environments. Normally, we are involved in the initial specification of the required network management system, at which stage e2E would support the procurement and management of the key contractor deliveries and ultimately the integration and test. e2E have also built bespoke systems required to perform specific functions outside of various commercial-of-the-shelf products. Typical examples of this include bridges between systems, additional measurement systems and post processing systems.

Project:
e2E has been involved in the detailed business analysis, feasibility study and definition of the Inmarsat Network Management System (INMS) which is used to manage a wide number of available services through a harmonized extendible management system. This system is highly geared towards real-time fault management including root cause analysis and take feeds from numerous disparate systems (both access and core network based). Suitable design hooks have been built in to extend the INMS to incorporate or link to other management functionality.
 

 

 

Software Engineering

Key to the success of all networks are the numerous different software modules operating around the network and key to these working together is the successful integration and configuration of software. e2E can provide support on the creation of bespoke network software through to the integration and configuration of 3rd party software and the various interfaces around a network.

Project:
Configuration, management and operation of a Remedy based platform with web based clients at 3 (Hutchison). This was used for trouble-ticketing and work flow management. e2E produced performance reports against agreed Service Level Agreements that monitored the timely completion of the work and fault resolution progress.
